If you want to save energy and money in heating your pool, you must use a heat pump pool heater. Heat pumps uses electricity to capture heat and move it from one place to another. Which means that they do not produce heat!

As the heat pump circulates the swimming pool’s water, the water from the pool passes to a filter, and then to the heat pump heater. The air from the outside is drawn by the heat pump heater’s fan and draws it over to its heater coil. The evaporator coil has a liquid refrigerant that absorbs the heat from the outside air and is transformed into a gas. The warm gas in the coil then proceeds to the compressor of the pump. The compressor then heats up the temperature of the gas, and then directs it to the condenser. The condenser then transfers the heat from the hot gas to the swimming pool’s water that is circulating in the heat pump. The heated water is then circulated back to the swimming pool. The hot gas as it passes through the condenser coil is cooled down and transforms back to its liquid form and goes back to the evaporator, where the whole process starts again at the beginning.

Swimming pool heat pumps that have a high energy efficiency ratio are using scroll compressors compared to the standard units that are using reciprocal compressors. Heat pump pool heaters work efficiently as long as the air temperature from the outside ranges from 45 degrees Fahrenheit to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, because the cooler the outside air, the greater the energy that the heat pump will use.

Heat pump pool heaters cost more than the gas pool heaters, but they have both low operating costs because of their high efficiencies. But with the proper maintenance, the electricity powered heat pump pool heaters will last longer than the gas pool heaters saving you money in the long run. That is why we must buy heat pump to optimize the investment the we made on buying our pool, and to maximize the benefit and enjoyment that our family can get!

Swimming pools are a sign of luxury for most people. For some families who happen to have a swimming pool, it is a signification for them that they have reached their dreams: the great American dream! But sadly, a lot of people still do not know the first thing about keeping their pools clean. For someone who loves swimming pools, this is a great travesty. It is such a pain for me to see a perfectly good pool go to waste because of negligent owners who know very little of the equipment that they need in order to have a great pool with them. It is very important that you get to know certain pool parts such as pool pumps and pool pump motors that contribute so much to the integrity of your pool.

Pool pumps and pool pump motors are only a part of the whole pool maintenance system that you would need to invest in. But among the many equipments, these two are perhaps the most crucial to have. It is very important that your pool maintenance system have the right kind of pool pumps and motors so that the pool filtration system can work efficiently and effectively. Without a great pool pumping system, water wont be filtered out as thorough as you want; leaving a lot of gallons of water still unchecked and uncleaned. Keeping your pool clean should be your primary goal. You never would want your family to swim in a dirty pool right?

I said that a dirty pool can be such a travesty for so many reasons. Perhaps those who take for granted their pool maintenance system are not really aware of the many benefits a pool can offer. From relaxation, recreation and exercise, to just bonding with the family, the pool can offer so much fun to one’s home.

In this article we consider the differences between suction side, pressure side and robotic pool cleaners. We also provide a set of criteria to look for when deciding between different models. Whether you have an over ground pool, in-ground pool or a custom shaped pool you should be able to find the right pool vacuum cleaner for your needs.

Pressure side vacuum cleaners that operate using the pressure generated by your pool pump, or which have a dedicated pump to drive them, are best for pools that tend to gather a large quantity of debris. Pressure side cleaners are effective at picking up larger particles and also wont overload your pool filter as they are sold with independent debris bags.

Suction side cleaners are a little less expensive and easier to install than pressure side cleaners. They work of the suction that is generated by your pool pump and typically attach via the skimmer. While they may not be able to handle larger sized debris, then very effective at giving your pool surfaces a great clean.

For a completely hands-off pool vacuum cleaner, it’s worth considering a robotic model. The best designs are manufactured by Aquabot. These are completely self-contained, they power themselves around the pool and have their own independent filter and pump system. Some of the top-ranked models can be controlled via a remote control and have an ability to learn the shape of the pool becoming increasingly more efficient each time they are used.

Whatever pool vacuum cleaner you decide on, make sure you understand exactly the installation requirements before you purchase. It’s also a good idea to stick to models where you are not required to replace parts on a regular basis. Remember that not all vacuums are able to clean walls as well as floors, so if this is a requirement, make sure you choose an appropriate model. And if you have a custom shaped pool make sure you choose a cleaner with a reverse gear that won’t get caught up in the corners.

Depending on where you live, you can only use the swimming pool for a couple of months in a year. By using a swimming pool heater you can extend the use of your swimming pool to the whole year. A swimming pool heater will heat your swimming pool water to a very enjoyable temperature which you can enjoy throughout the whole year.

There are various different kinds of swimming pool heaters available with a Raypak pool heater being some of the best available on the market.Raypak manufactures these devices to run on both natural as well as propane gas and electricity as well.

When looking at pool heaters your best choice will be those that run on either propane or natural gas. The gas powered devices are much more energy efficient, as their conversion process to manufacture heat is much more efficient then their electrical counterparts. The gas powered versions will save you a lot of money on the long run.

Pool heaters should be manufactured to be able to withstand all the elements of nature as they will be standing outside all year long.Raypak pool heaters are manufactured with an anti corroding outer casing as well as internals. The device is able to withstand wind, snow, hail, as well as falling debris, and will last for a very long time – usually at least as long as the lifespan of the pool.

Another benefit of Raypak heaters are the fact that they are extremely easy to use in the sense that the only thing you need to do is to set the external thermostat to your desired temperature, and the pool heater will do the rest. There is absolutely nothing complicated about the whole procedure. If you are looking for a pool heater I hope I have convinced you that Raypak pool heaters are well worth considering.

When you think of things you’d like to spend a lot of money on, automatic pool cleaners rarely spring to the top of the list. More likely, a fancy car or expensive TV float to the top of your wish list. But what you get in terms of time and effort saved when you invest in a quality pool cleaning robot definitely makes this one purchase you might want to give more thought to.

While all pool cleaners essentially perform the same function, they are by no means all created equal. Lower-end models often do a less-than-stellar job and they do so in multiples of hours. In addition, they require considerably more effort and equipment (in terms of hoses to attach to your pool’s filtration system) than their more expensive cousins.

Some of the most costly robotic pool cleaners available are manufactured by Aquabot pool products. Ranging anywhere from $350 to $1900USD, Aquabot’s robotic pool cleaners can fit just about any budget. But it’s their Turbo series pool cleaners that really deliver the swimming pool goods.

The Turbo 4 automatic pool cleaner is fully integrated. That means no hoses and no dependence on pool’s filtration system. This marvel of modern pool cleaning technology promises to clean any 50′ pool in an hour or less. And, though fully automatic, this little robot even features remote control should you want to go back and hit any trouble spots.

While you could certainly spend less on automatic pool cleaners, the reputation and quality Aquabot brings to the game definitely makes their products worth considering. While the highest end Trubo 4 model will cost you a pretty penny, its feature-rich functionality and excellent performance record mean that, if you have the means, you should put this on your wish list, right next to the Porsche you want to buy.

I did a poll just recently and it only involved myself. The poll was “Who hates cleaning their pool?” And ME won by 100%. I have no problem admitting the fact that when it comes to household chores, cleaning my swimming pool is my most hated. Some people find it relaxing but some people also like Lil Wayne. I hate standing by my pool in the middle of the hot summer sun and pushing around a vacuum along the bottom of my pool. For one, I’m standing right there and I cannot go in and two, I have to do it every week.

I never wanted to clean my pool again so I started looking into automatic swimming pool cleaners. I soon realized that they weren’t as expensive as I originally thought. In fact some were down right cheap but I always believe you get what you pay for. I started looking at suction side pool cleaners which acted just like setting my manual vacuum cleaner except it did it all by itself, which I like.

Then I looked into buying a pressure side pool cleaner like a Polaris. They were a little more expensive but super easy to install and didn’t require my filter system to do all the work, instead it has a self-contained filter bag located on top of the cleaner.

Then I saw robotic swimming pool cleaners and I fell in love. They were robots that actually cleaned your swimming pool and they were much easier than the other two cleaners. All I had to do was plug it into a standard outlet and drop it into the swimming pool and it would start cleaning. The only downside was that it was the most expensive pool cleaner I looked at, but like I said before, you get what you pay for.
