Vacuum cleaners are everyday devices that we all should recognize. Well, with modern technology bring us new products very often, vacuum cleaners are changing so fast we may not recognize them soon enough. A normal vacuum cleaner is a bag attached to a handle that is moved forwards and backwards over a dirty surface. The dirt particles are sucked into a bag that collects the grime and needs to be replaced every so often.
Since then, some vacuum designs have changed drastically. Some now come in hand held varieties, which help when you are trying to vacuum corners or carpets, stairs, and other odd shaped objects. There are also many attachments that now come with vacuums, including brushes, handles, and nozzles.
Some vacuum cleaners are even bagless now. They do not require a bag, meaning you use less time maintaining your vacuum. The dirt is collected into a compartment that just needs to be dumped into a trash can when its full. Some bagless vacuums come with a filter to keep grime from shooting back out the vacuum onto your carpet.
Advanced technology has allowed people to start producing self-operating vacuum cleaners. These machines work themselves, almost like a robot. The vacuum has sensors that can tell what is clean and what still needs to be cleaned. When it hits a wall, it knows to change direction and vacuum something else. It also will refrain from falling down stairs because it has a sensor keeping it from doing so. Some can even be operated without turning on with a button, as they are set to turn themselves on and vacuum at a scheduled time automatically. Don’t think that the vacuum can automatically empty its debris compartment, however. That task is suited for humans to perform. I am still worried about how well these devices work, though, because they are so small they seem to be less powerful than a standard vacuum. I’d make sure to consistently clean out its debris compartment, as it will not work very well if you let it get full.
New technology has produced vacuums that make life easier. The real question now is is it worth taking a gamble and buying a vacuum that is new with advanced technology, or should one just stick with a congenital vacuum for now?
